Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) sea scallops
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

  1. 1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  1. 2. Prepare the Scallops

  • Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Make sure to remove the side muscle if still attached.

  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice.

  • Place the scallops in a baking dish in a single layer, making sure they aren’t too close together.

  • Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the scallops.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the scallops.
